For really exciting 3D performance its always good to be lite. With this in mind our Yak 54 has been made to a wingspan of 80" with a scale planform for plenty of wing area yet weights of only 13.1/4 - 15 pounds are easy to achive depending on the engine and eqiupment.She behaves well which ever set-up you choose Gas, Glow, EP large or small.The WH Yak kit is beautifully built and comes with removable wings and stabs for easy transport.Expertly Coverd in a stuning Yellow and Red patten with "Ultracote",the fuse is strong,lite and jig built from balsa and aero ply, wings and tail feathers are also jig built with an open structure and mounted on lite wieght tubes.The canopy/hatch opens up right to the rear of the cowl alowing full acsess. Tall aircraft grade aluminum landing gear gives lots of clearance for large props.This ARTF kit can be built in just a few evernings and includes a tinted and painted canopy,haigh style tailwheel,large pin (Robart style) hinges with hinge holes pre-drilled and a set of HD wheel axles are also included.There are mounting plates for fuel tanks either centered under the wing tube for pumped/gas engines or up close to the engine for glow engines.There is also a nice sized pre fitted tray to hold batteries,receiver and the rudder servo.This is a really great looking airplane, its flight is very stable and predictable yet on high rates the large control surfaces and big wing will alow you to do anything in the book and some stuff thats not there yet!
Model shown is fitted with our new MLD 35 gas engine turning a Cyclone 19x8 carbon prop, shes abel to clime vert out of site from level flight and wieghs in at just under 14.1/4lbs
